News I just sold my second YA novel CAUGHT to Putnam, for release in Fall of 2010! Here is the official notice:G. Neri’s second novel, CAUGHT, explores the fine line between stalking and adoration as well as the misconceptions and wrongfully perceived intentions of teen protagonist Catch Williams as he navigates his street-famed football prowess in the throes of high school life; for publication in fall 2010 with Stacey Barney at Putnam, by Edward Necarsulmer IV at McIntosh & Otis, Inc. Jesse Joshua Watson and G. Neri will appear at the Hip Hop Chess Federation's Kings Invitational with RZA and GZA! October 11 at Cow Palace, San Francisco. This event has been postponed to February...  CHESS RUMBLE was named an American Library Association Notable Book for 2008! That means it has been deemed 'the Best of the Best' out of the thousands of books released last year. To be on the same list as J.K Rowlings, Al Gore, Christopher Paul Curtis, Peter Sis, Rosemary Wells, Jacqueline Woodson, and Gary Schmidt is quite an honor, especially for our little book!  We've also received a Bank Street College of Education Best Book of the Year nod and a NCTE / IRA Notable Book honor as well! ..............................................................................................
